tilburg NL
Tilburg is a lovely little town about 1 1/2 hours south of Amsterdam. The centre of Tilburg mainly consists of one main shopping street, a town square and many little restaurants, cafes and bars. Driving around town i would say that the pedestrians and cyclists are the minority here, mainly the cyclists.
My great aunts that came from Bosnia are super funny interesting women. They are actually really conservative, they pray 5 times a day and they do not smoke or drink. They keep their heads covered during most of the day but take their head scarves off at night. Wearing a head scarf is not part of the islam religion but it is their personal preference.
My cousin Mirha has a dutch boyfriend and she was worried that the aunts would pass judgement but her boyfriend is great and everybody loves him. Today we went to about 3 different grocery stores to prepare for everyone coming over on saturday. I don’t know why but i freaking love going to foreign grovery stores, especially here the food is amazing especially the cheese (of course). In most grocery stores they have samples of over 10 cheeses, HEAVEN!
We went into town and i was so surprised, everything was on sale and it was so cheap. I don’t remember anything being this cheap the last time i was here. I wasn’t planning on buying much clothes but who can resists buying when the sales were that good.
The next few days are going to be pretty chill, a lot of family is coming here this weekend to pay their respects on my aunts passing anniversary.
Sunday im going to Amsterdam. I can’t wait to smoke your greens NL but nothing ever compares to my BC bud.
